♥MAC - Ruby Woo♥

MAC
Retro Matte Liptsick
in
Ruby Woo - A32
Rs.990/-

All I needed was some concealer, mascara and Mac Ruby Woo lipstick!

I have been wanted to buy this for a very long time. Seen loads of Indian Beauty Bloggers and other beauty bloggers from outside of India raving about Mac - Ruby Woo that of course it makes a lipstick lover really curious and when I tried it on in the Mac store, I fell in LOVE with it!

Mac lipsticks is not cheap that's for sure and I love the quality of Mac's matte lipsticks. Ever since I started using the Mac So Chaud matte lipstick, its like a whole new world of lip colors opened up for me. Now I'v got Ruby Woo in my kitty, I am loving it! I love bold lips on myself and this one is one satisfying shade for my lip color crave.

I believe in investing good money on a good quality lipstick and spending that much on a Mac matte lipstick gives a good satisfying feeling of money well spent! ^_^.

And the best part is that this Ruby Woo lipstick will suit all skin tones! Just Google this and you will see women of all skin shades and shapes rocking this beautiful red color on themselves!

Thank You for reading,

UPDATE: This lipstick is kind of drying since its a matte lipstick so please make sure your lips are moisturized properly and then apply this one carefully. This lipstick reminds me of Rihanna's song lyrics RED LIPSTICK ALL ON THE PAPER - lol. And I am guessing the lipstick shade which you often see her in is the exact dupe to this one is what I am noticing. So, what are you waiting for? Apply your red lipstick and start rocking to the tune of Rihanna's RED LIPSTICK song! :D

These days I am getting attracted to blue shades in my life. For me, I don't have a favorite color in my life. I love all the colors that this world has to offer. True, that some shades for me changes depending on the mood, season and situations all together. And for the nail paints, these are the shades which I am reaching out for these days. So, I would say these are my favorites for now.

Ingredients

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS: I heard about this long long time back, some where in 2009 that this was a new IT product from L'OREAL in the US. But sadly, it never arrived in India. But its now 2012 and its finally here. Better now then never. The whole craze for this cleanser is the star of the product and that is this silicon scrubber.

Silicon Scrubber

I even heard that some folks buy the cleanser just for the silicon scrubber and I can totally understand that since even I bought this because of the curiosity lol. It was my first time using this and frankly speaking, I loved it. The scrubber I mean and not the cleanser.

I have been using this for more then two months or so.

Since my face is very sensitive so I chose this cleanser for the Sensitive Skin. It says that its fragrance free and soap free but when I started using it, it had some sort of fragrance and since it says its soap free, it lathered a lot! So, I was kind of baffled by this thing that the L'OREAL is claiming to do but its not exactly doing that.

This is how the cleanser looks.

I kind of have a love and hate relationship with this cleanser. For me, for a daily cleanser it wasn't suiting me at all. It made my face feel very dry after each wash with this cleanser. But, as a make up remover I loved it. So now this cleanser has become my HG for make up removing. Plus, using the silicon scrubber along with it for make up removing works great together. The whole foundation is removed nicely, fast and yet delicately. But it doesn't work that great for removing water proof mascara so I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil for removing my eye make up.

PROS:

  • The silicon Scrubber works well.
  • Removes make up like foundations and so on.
  • Cleans the face very well.
  • The packaging is sturdy and nice looking plus great for traveling.
  • You just need a tiny bit of this cleanser and its going to last for more then 3 months I am guessing.
  • The silicon scrubber can be used with any cleanser.

CONS:

  • For some it might be pricey.
  • Has fragrance even though it says Fragrance Free.
  • Dries the face if used everyday.
  • Has SLR.
  • Its not soap free even though it says Soap Free on the packaging.

IN THE END: This cleanser has it's ups and downs. It might work for some and it might not work for some but if you are looking for a new make up remover in a cleanser form which might not burn a hole in your pocket then this might work for you.

I remember it was 2-3years back when The Body Shop store opened up in The Great India Place Mall and I was so awed by it. The shop looked so pretty and all made with natural ingredients! Then later on I remember I bought this product called The Passion Fruit Dry Oil Spray.

It was my first ever Dry Oil Mist and I loved it so much that later on I found out that they discontinued this product! I got so many compliments when I stepped out of house wearing this mist. It was so moisturizing too! Plus the great part was that it lasts forever! Maybe I wasn't using it so much or maybe I was but all I remember was that it takes a load of time to finish this product up since its an oil product where you only need a tiny bit of it which spreads easily on the skin ^_^.

Now its 2012 and The Body Shop bought back their old product in a new packaging with new and better ingredients in it. I am really excited and can't wait to try them on and pick one for sure! Sad part is that there is no Passion Fruit in their new body oil now called BEAUTIFYING OILS by The Body Shop

By the way, The Body Shop is having a

All Time Favorite Repeated Products

1.LOTUS HERBALS - SAFE SUN
INTENSIVE
SUNBLOCK SPRAY
----------------------
Anti-UVA | Anti-UVB
Easy use fine mist
Sweat & Water Proof
SPF 50
UVA INDEX - 16
All Skin Types.
Rs.195/- for 80ml

Available in all stores and online stores in India.

In India the Lotus Herbals brand has many variety of Sun Blocks. For kids to adults you have many options to choose from depending on your skin type. For me, this Sunblock Spray SPF 50 suits my skin type very well. Its light on the skin and doesn't feel sticky at all and that is something I love about this product and that's why I always come back to this one. Here the Delhi summer weather is horrible 99% of the time so any kind of product should always be light on the skin if you ask me. Right now I am in my third bottle and when that finishes, I will again buy this one. Of course sunscreen is for protecting you from the sun's harmful rays and not for avoiding tanning. If you don't want to get tanned while stepping out of your house then I would suggest wearing full sleeve clothes, covering your face with a scarf and using an umbrella! Plus, don't forget those long ass gloves *wink wink*.

I love that this is travel friendly and easy to use ^_^.

2.SUNSILK - Black Shine Shampoo and Conditioner

SHAMPOO Rs.105/- for 200ml
CONDITIONER Rs.105/ for 180ml Rs.30/- for 40ml

I swear, I always come back to this pocket friendly, affordable shampoo and conditioner from this BLACK SHINE  line from SUNSILK. I even did a review post so click HERE if your interested ^_^.

I love how it makes my hair feel so smooth and look shiny in a healthy way. I feel like when I use these two combine then my hair behaves well and obedient lol.

And you know what? This Black Shine range is only available in India and some selected part in South East Asia. So, finally something for us which the foreigners can't get their hands on so easily. Something for them to get jealous of a tiny weeny bit =^.^=.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

3.Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I am loving this Extra Virgin Olive Oil for my skin. Recently my face has been breaking out with acne on my chin and nose area so in the end when it became to a point where I felt like END OF THE WORLD! (lol yes, very dramatic.) I remembered that I had Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the kitchen! I quickly cleansed my face and massaged my face with some Olive Oil very gently before going off to sleep and when I woke up the next day my face's break out area calmed down almost 40% over night so I was kind of relieved! But not only that, after I finish epilating my legs and arms I right away apply some Olive Oil and massaged it till the oil has been absorbed. I swear, my legs and arms never felt so smooth and moisturized! Now I don't get that irritation on my legs which I usually get after 3rd day of epilating/waxing. (If your interested you can check out the review of the epilator which I did by clicking HERE.)

Before my skin was very dry so after a shower I notice that my skin was itching for some moisturizing lotion but now before going off to sleep, I apply little bit of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil on my dryness area in my body and by the time I wake up in my morning my legs and arms feel very smooth and soft!

Dove + IndiBlogger Meet

Few days back or so I remember Apurva from KalaPalette messaging me on Gtalk to quickly register myself for the Dove Event in the IndiBlogger's website. So, I did and did the same thing by informing my other blogger friends if they were interested in attending this Dove event.

This was my second time attending the Dove event so I was really excited when I got to know that there's another Dove event happening in Delhi ^_^.

If you haven't checked out my first Dove event post I did few months back then please click HERE to know how it was ^_^.

There was a IndiBlogger + Dove event at The Park Hotel in Connaught Place. 10th June 2012 at 10am the event started and lasted till 3pm or so. Me and my other fellow beauty bloggers reached there by 10:30am.

When we arrived there, loads of other lady bloggers were already present there and they were busy introducing themselves and what their blog was all about to the crowd. The lucky ladies were also winning some gift cards and gift hampers by the Dove people.

Me and some of my fellow beauty blogger friends were sitting in the front row seats.

from left to right -> Apurva from KalaPalette, Apurva's sister Anushree who's face is hidden in the picture and Awungshi from Dr.IvyPoison Blog and Me clicking their photo :P.

Here's Saumya the brand manager of Dove talking about 'What is beauty?' and asking others from the crowd to tell their version of what is beauty from their point of view.

And here I am {with my new hair cut} who managed to click a pic with Shallini from Bbeautilicious blog. It was so nice to finally get a chance to meet her. We have been chatting on BlackBerry Messenger for so long that it really felt great to meet and hangout, all thanks to this Dove Event ^_^.

From left to right -->> Apurva's beautiful long hair lol, Anushree and Awungshi. Yes, all three who's name starts with "A" !!

Japna blogger of WhatsCookingGoodLookin Blog. Met her first in the DellBlogathon meet HERE. This was our second time meeting each other ^_^. Loved what she was wearing!

Here is Shivani who was telling us her experience of hair related problem in a very entertaining humorous way.

Awungshi blogger of Dr.PoisonIvy
Nidhi blogger of FabulousLittle
Shallini blogger of Bbeautilious
Apurva blogger of Kalapalette
Japna blogger of WhatsCookingGoodLookin
blogger of  (I forgot her name. Can someone please tell me so that I can edit this? Thank You.)
Akshita blogger of Colorific

In the middle we were given 15-20minutes of a "Tea Break" so I chose a cup of coffee for myself. I am a coffee addict myself and I love a cup of coffee served in a white color coffee cup! One of my weaknesses is checking out Tea Sets online. I even invested my money in a good coffee machine and ever since I got one of those coffee machines, instant coffee doesn't interest me much. I love plain white colored coffee mugs and cups that I go all the way to Khan Market to buy those white cups and matching saucer plates to go along with it. And Yes, I ALWAYS put two spoons of sugar with my coffee...lol.

One of my favorite pics from the lot. A BlackBerry phone to receive and reply the emails on the go and a Camera for a blogger to click photos for her readers to enjoy and look through a blogger's point of view or through my eyes! A cute bag plus coffee to get the blogger all buzzing around! haha.

After the Tea Break got over, we sat down in our chairs and got these clip boards with some blank paper and pencils.

{picture of Dr.Rohinni will be uploaded later}
The hair expert doctor was telling us about hair care and answering the questions from the crowd of bloggers. It was great to see her again in this Dove meet ^_^.

Loads of yummy food was served! Red Thai Curry was one of my favorites from the loads of variety food which was there. Noodles, Fish, Daal, Naan, Paneer Indian Dish and many more!

Dessert was Tiramisu and Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate sauce plus Gulab Jamuns.
That's my plate. I added little of ALMOST everything so my plate got all full lol.
Plus, I was so busy clicking pictures that I interrupted other blogger friends with their meals! :P

So, after the whole meal was over, the Dove event also got over by 3pm or so. We all were given these, a little gift from the Dove folks ^_^.

A Shampoo and a conditioner, a T Shirt and a cosmetic pouch bag ^_^.

They actually made us all take this hair test from their laptop where we had to log into our facebook account and go to their Dove page and answer few questions related to hair. In the end for me was suggested this:

INTENSE REPAIR Line from Dove

Over all the event was fun and learnt something new about hair care, all thanks to this wonderful event hosted by Dove and IndiBlogger. Met new interesting women bloggers. There was even a woman who bought her 20yr old son to the All Women's Dove Meet which was pretty funny in a way and that woman and her son even won a gift card from Dove so that was really great to witness all that ^_^.

Thank You all for reading,

Hair Cut Experience from the Elite Beauty Salon + Awesome Food from the Sikkim Restaurant with Dr.PoisonIvy

(Old Hair)

Are you like me? Searching for a good hair stylist near by who would actually listen to your request for what kind of hair cut you want? Its really annoying when most of your life, 70% out of 100% you ended up with a hair cut you are not happy with? Well, if you already have a good hair stylist in your speed dial then please don't let that person go! Hold on to it and appreciate that you have found that person at last.

I kind of got fed up of these fancy salons in Delhi and Noida area where they charge Rs.500-1000 and more for a hair cut. Sure they give you good shampooing before the hair cut but for the main reason you went there was for a hair cut but they start blabbering and get all dramatic saying 'OMG who cuts your hair?! You should come to me always!' or 'Your hair is so dry, you have dandruff and your hair is getting white! You know what you should do? Get some blonde high lights!' 'You should use this ABZ shampoo and conditioner! Its ONLY for 1000Rupees something each..'

But every time this happened, they cut my hair too short by not respecting my request of WHAT NOT TO DO and I never went back to them. Last time I went to this salon (forgot the same but its right next to the store - 18 in sector 18 NOIDA) who charged Rs.600/- for a hair cut and when I told the lady how I want it. She was nodding and when she started cutting my hair, she was finished with in 5-6 minutes! I was shocked!  The cut wasn't the way I wanted it to be like and her attitude was like 'whatever'. I mean, I like it when someone spends some time on my hair and focuses on it and do it properly and not done in 5mins type. After that I kind of avoided these salons and hair cuts.

So, after SO MANY MONTHS later I wanted a good hair cut and started asking around with beauty blogger friends and there she was! Awungshi, blogger of Dr.PoisonIvy Blog who replied 'I know a good hair stylist who charges Rs.300/- and I take all my friends there!' So I quickly replied back and we both made a plan to go there the next day!

By the time I reached there it was 11am and in a hurry to get ready I forgot to have breakfast so luckily Awungshi skipped her breakfast too so we both went to this Sikkim restaurant which is very close to the Outram Line metro station in North Delhi side. And funny thing is that when you decide to get a hair cut on that day, your hair suddenly decides to be all good on that day so hence the first picture of above kind of like hugging my hair and saying good bye to my old hair style lol.

If your in a tight budget like the rest of us then this restaurant might just tickle your taste buds for some good affordable Sikkim food! Awungshi goes there a lot since she lives close by here so THANK YOU SO MUCH AWUNGSHI FOR INTRODUCING ME TO THIS AWESOME FOOD PLACE!
Info given in the photo.
I love Fruit Beer! I always 99% of the time order Fruit Beer when it comes to North East Food :P.
We ordered Pork Dumplings first. Awungshi was saying 'You HAVE to try these Pork Dumplings from here! They make it soooooo good! Most of the time I end up ordering this whenever I come here ^_^'
Now it has become my favorite as well! So yummy with their special dumpling sweet and spicy sauce!
And then along with Pork Dumplings we had ordered Pork Mushroom Bamboo Shoot Curry with Steamed Rice which was like a full hearty meal in the end! ^_^
I was really craving for a cup of coffee so ordered NESCAFE MUG MILK COFFEE from their Beverage Menu. The man who was taking our order was so nice and when I was busy clicking photos of this cup of coffee (cause that's what bloggers do), he turned the cup a little sideways so that I can click a good one so that's his thumb which also came in the picture while clicking lol.

After we finished our satisfied tasty meal, the bill was for Rs.350/- !!!!!  How amazing is that! If your near by then please try out this Sikkim Restaurant! They have a washroom and free wifi as well ^_^.

And right next to the Sikkim Restaurant was the Elite Beauty Salon! These two places has become my favorite already and both are right next to each other is like hitting two birds with one stone!

This is their FaceBook page if your interested >>> HERE.

The lady you see in this picture was the one who did the whole cutting of my hair and Awungshi's hair. That's why you see the hair on the floor. She was getting us two glasses of water while I was trying to make my moody camera to work so that's how I ended up clicking this pic! lol.

Her name is Awe. Pronounced as Ah-ow-ee. As for her to cut your hair. They even have Kpop Idol's photos displayed on their walls for you to choose which kind of hair cut you want!

Awe and Me with my new hair cut. (Sorry for the tired eyes. My face skin being so sensitive these days that I decided to not wear make up for awhile so hence NO MAKE UP FACE lol.) Right now the layers she gave me is not that visible because before cutting hair she first straightens the hair with a round brush and a hair dryer and then after that she starts cutting. Very interesting to watch the whole process of her cutting my hair ^_^.
And that's Awungshi with her new hair cut and Awe. Both looking very pretty ^_^.

Over all the food was great and hair cut was great! My salon bill came up to Rs320/- ONLY!! Rs.300/- for the hair cut and Rs.20/- for eyebrow threading ^_^. And the awesome part is that its very close to OutramLine Metro Station!!  Plus, I would like to Thank Awungshi from Dr.PoisonIvy  so much for  introducing me to these two amazing places =^.^=.

PLEASE NOTE: Don't blame me if you end up getting a bad hair cut just because I had a good experience from them. Other people's hair I won't be held responsible for is what I am trying to say here but BEST OF LUCK if you decide to get a hair cut from here ^_^!

xo,
B.

If you ever decide to try out the Sikkim Restaurant then please do share your experience with me ^_^.
