This is my first ever limited edition item from the MAC cosmetics brand. Now who doesn't like Marilyn Monroe? She is forever young and of course big companies like MAC is gong to make money out of that! Here in India its priced at Rs.1050/- for a MAC's limited edition lipstick each. *Just don't tell my dad or else he will freak out..not kidding lol*
If you are a fan of RED lip colors like me then hurry up before its too late! Most of my lip sticks include reds in different shades and this one I am loving it already!
The packaging is so pretty and the bullet is glossy with Marilyn Monroe's signature and pic. Though this picture kind of makes me feel like she doesn't look that happy.. more like 'whatever' expression XD.
I tried all the lipsticks shade and in the end I decided to pick DEEPLY ADORED matte lipstick. At first I loved SCARLET IBIS lipstick but then I noticed that it really reminds me of SO CHAUD by MAC so I swatched Scarlet Ibis and So Chaud on my hand and found its an exact dupe! So I let that go and picked out Deeply Adored cause I don't own this shade.
This is how it looks on me.
Of course the color can be dupe-able but then it wouldn't feel the same. This one is matte finish but its not that drying like the Ruby Woo lipstick by MAC.

DeleteArrey wah! It is so chaud on you. Lol! But I found Scarlet Ibis closer to Lady Danger, no difference at all. So Chaud looked more orange on me, according ro my friend, looked like I had eaten pan. Lol! So Scarlet Ibis or Lady Danger were my only hope. So glad that worked! There's only a very slight difference but my face decides to let it show. >.>
